GODS ANGELS
This is a story of a young girl who called on God for help and he sent his angel.
What I am about to tell you happened some fifty years ago, but I remember it like
it was only yesterday.
I lived on a farm in a countryside where neighbors were few and far between. Sometimes I liked to take walks to explore.
It was a sunny day as I was walking down one of the dirt roads, I was heading back home, but it was still about three miles to our farmhouse. I looked up the road and standing there in front of me , not more than 20 feet away stood a wolf.
He was looking at me, slowly creeping towards me. The hair on his back was raised, his mouth was open, showing his sharp teeth as he growled at me.
I froze, not moving, I looked around to see if there was a stick or rock I could use to defend myself.
Nothing, nothing I thought. There were some trees a few feet away and I wondered if could outrun this wolf and climb into a tree before he could get me. I didn't think I could make it, the wolf now only about fifteen feet away and still coming towards me in attack mode.
I thought this simple prayer, "God Help Me" , and suddenly from nowhere appeared a Collie dog , but he was there in front of me. The Collie stood there between me and the wolf. Somehow I knew God had sent the collie and somehow I knew he was protecting me.
Slowly I began walking towards the wolf, when I moved, the Collie stayed right in front of me watching the wolf. The wolf stayed haunched with it's hair raised and growling. I walked around the wolf on the right side of the road, with the Collie staying right there between the wolf and myself, protecting me.
Once I got past the wolf, I turned to run home. I looked back to see the Collie standing there in the road. Now, I knew every neighbor for miles around and knew all their dogs. No
one owned a Collie like this one.
I knew God had sent this angel to protect me, and in case I have never thanked you,
